Diagnosis: An attractive, leafy shrub, with spreading branches and fine, needle-like leaves. The flowers are borne in clusters at the end of the branches
Flowering: Summer and early autumn
Habitat: Open forest, on sandy soils. This plant is very prominent on the sides of Bobbin Head Road through the Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park, in the part from the visitor's centre to the highway.
Distribution: restricted to the Sydney coastal area.
