Mirabelia rubiifolia

A low straggly shrub, which can easily be identified by its distinctive leaves. They have a strong pattern of veins on the upper leaf surface. The leaf margins are sharply toothed. Pink flowers are borne at the ends of the branches

Habitat: heath and nearby open forest

Distribution: in Sydney from coast to mountains; in NSW all along coast and tablelands into Queensland
