Leucopogon esquamatus

An erect low shrub, with upward-pointing, flat leaves, which are often somewhat twisted, and end in a pungent point. The flowers are much smaller than the leaves, and quite sparse. The petals are frilly at the edges.

Flowering: Late winter to early Spring.

Habitat: heath, on sandy soils.

Distribution: in Sydney widespread from coast to mountains, but especially common on coastal heaths. Also on NSW north coast, south coast and southern tablelands. Also in Victoria and Tasmania.
