Grevillea speciosa ssp. speciosa - Red spider flower
Diagnosis: A shrub to 2 m tall, with ovate leaves and clusters of flowers on the end of the branches. The flowers are bright red and the red styles protrude about 20 mm from the perianth.
Habitat: Open forest and heath, on sandy soils
Distribution: This form is endemic to the Sydney area, and is particularly common on the sandstone plateaus north of the harbour, the Ku-ring-gai and Brisbane Water national parks
