Banksia oblongifolia

One of the yellow flowering Banksias from around Sydney, this shrub is quite common. It can easily be recognised by the bright orange colour of new leaves, and later dense rusty hair that covers new growth. The leaves are elongate, but rather broad, similar to those of B. integrifolia, but more toothed.

Habitat: Open forest and heath

Flowering: Autumn

Distribution: Common along the coastal cone. Along the north coast to Queensland.
