Diagnosis: A small straggly shrub with long branches. Leaves are needle-like, opposite and often adpressed to the stem or on short branches. The flowers are white with a pink tinge, the buds are pink.

Flowering: Summer to early autumn

Habitat: sandy soils, heath and open forest

Distribution: In Sydney widespread from coast to mountains. North to Queensland
