Seashells of Central New South Wales

Patty Jansen 1995

This book is the first to be published on the shells of this region, which includes the Sydney metropolitan area. There are 484 species included, all of which can be found in shell grit on beaches. Many species are micromolluscs described in popular literature for the first time. The most recent views on molluscan taxonomy are incorporated and several professional malacologists have assisted in their areas of expertise.

All species are illustrated in exquisite black and white line drawings. There is an extensive reference list for those who want to study southern Australian shells in more detail. Information about the animals and habitat is given.
