Common Seashells of Coastal Northern Queensland

This little book is a guide to the shells commonly found on the beach in northern Queensland, Australia, and indeed much of the Indo-Pacific. The book illustrates and describes 200 species, gastropods and bivalves; 84 species are illustrated in colour, the others in black and white line drawings.

Some species, such as a selection of the abundant Arcidae and some of the Epitoniidae, are illustrated in the popular literature for the first time.
